Golf in Southwest Ireland
In the southwest Ballybunion, Tralee, Waterville and Old Head are the jewels; Dooks is a course too often overlooked and southwest tours can also include the other "top-5" course at Lahinch and the Greg Norman design at Doonbeg;

In the east Portmarnock, The Island, County Louth and The European are most popular. There are also fine links at Royal Dublin and St. Anne's. Royal County Down is a 2 hour drive from Dublin;

The world famous Royal County Down and Royal Portrush are in the north east and can be combined with the amazingly undiscovered links at Ballyliffin, Portsalon and Rosapenna in the northwest;

Three more hidden gems dominate the western circuit: Carne Golf Links, Enniscrone and Connemara together with the better known Rosses Point; Donegal Golf Clubat Murvagh is another classic Eddie Hackett links on the way to the northwestern courses.
